At PSB Singapore School, we believe in our students.
We see the potential in every student and understand their aspirations to take flight on the global platform. PSB Singapore School is recognised for its ability to nurture and bring out the best from each student, providing them with the chance to take their passions to a level unimagined.
We achieve this with a five-pronged approach:
-
Maintaining Academic Rigour
While it is the aim of PSB Singapore School to help each student perform, we do not compromise on the quality of our rigourous curriculum and assessment system. Instead, more effort is put in to help students achieve the required level of standards.
-
Professional Teaching staff
We understand that the success of any student depends on the professional teaching staff, from the Principal to the classroom teacher. As such, our teachers are carefully selected through series of interviews and tests. They have either acquired a relevant teaching qualification awarded by a recognized teacher-training institution, or have adequate content knowledge and relevant experience to deliver the curriculum. Most important of all, PSB Singapore School ensures our teachers have the right aptitude and attitude for the position.
-
Adopting best teaching practices
The School believes in empowering our teachers, thereby developing them to their fullest potential. To keep our teachers updated with global trends and education content, regular workshops and bi-annual staff appraisal exercises are held. From the training workshops, teachers will learn about new and effective teaching methods adopted by teaching professionals around the world. They are then encouraged to adapt what they have learned, to Indonesia’s education environment.
-
Benchmarking against well-established international standards
To prepare our students for challenges in the global market, PSB Singapore School constantly benchmark our curriculum and education programmes against well-established international standards.
Formal assessments at primary level in PSB Singapore School are similar in standard used in Singapore schools. At the end of Primary Six, students are offered the opportunity to sit for the International Primary School Leaving Examinations (iPSLE) conducted by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB). The iPSLE is the international version of the PSLE. All students in Singapore primary schools are required to pass PSLE before they proceed to secondary education.
At secondary level, students will sit for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE) conducted by Cambridge University International Examinations.
-
