Preparatory & Pre-Primary Courses

The over-arching objective of a preparatory education is to provide a good foundation to better prepare students for Primary One. PSB Singapore School modeled our curriculum after the Singapore’s Pre-school framework, infused with Montessori methods. The syllabus planned covers all important areas of development for our pre-schoolers. These include Self & Social awareness, Language & Literacy, Numeracy, Activities & Creative expressions, Environmental awareness and Motor Skills development.

The students are taught mainly through a combination of play, games and lessons befitting the young age of children.

The following are the subjects :
Reading skills, Phonics, Penmanship, English, Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Mathematics, Music & Movement, Indonesian Studies, Art & Craft, Physical Education.

The Preparatory programme was introduced in 2006 based on popular demands from parents; one of whom had this to say:
